Abstract
324,901. Stanton, W. F. Aug. 3, 1928. Eccentrics. - An inclined adjustable eccentric 41<e> on the main cam-shaft is peripherally grooved to receive pins pivoted in a fork jointed to a block also pivoted at the upper end of the valve 30<e>. A universal joint is thus obtained imparting rotary as well as reciprocating movement to the valve, the effect being that the valve ports are only in register on the working stroke.
