Abstract

321,826. Lewis, W. Nov. 13, 1928. Pulp, preparation of.-Ink and the like is removed from newsprint paper and other stock by macerating and then agitating and squeezing alternately in the presence of waterglass, with or without the addition thereto of caustic soda and a washing powder such as that known by the registered Trade Mark " Pearline." The de-inked pulp so obtained may be re-used for making paper &c.
