Joints with divided sleeve ; couplings, disconnectible. - A pipe-joint housing comprises two parts d, d, Fig. 1, which are hinged together at one side d<1> and are closed and locked in position at the other side by a latch d<4> which is pivoted on projections d<2> on one of the parts and is provided with a cross-pin d<5> adapted first to engage cam surfaces d' and then recesses d' on projections d<3> on the other part. The housing is preferably formed with inner surfaces, Fig. 3, corresponding to outer inclined walls of projecting rings or flanges on the opposed pipe ends so as to draw the latter towards each other during the closing operation.
