Pistons. - The longitudinally slit skirt A of a piston may be adjusted for clearance by a wedge H in a split bush I screwed in or out by a nut J to separate the edges of the slit D. The nut J is locked by a tonguo K secured by a screw L. The head of the piston is secured to the skirt by long studs F, Fig. 2, which also secure the gudgeon pin.
