Abstract

546,984. Wall &c. plugs. MILLS, H. June 16, 1941, No. 7614. [Class 89 (i)] Wall plugs comprise at least two tubular sections 1, 2 with meeting surfaces of plane, concave or convex form at an angle to the bolt axis. The section 1 is tapped, preferably ecentrically, for the bolt and the sections 2, 3 &c. have sufficient clearance to permit lateral movement so that serrations or other roughnesses 11 are forced laterally into the sides of the hole' as the bolt is tightened up. When there are one or more intermediate sections such as 2 the inclined faces at opposite ends are at angle to one another around the bolt.
