429,988. Pistons. PASTRONE, G., 13, Via Gioanetti, Turin, Italy. Dec. 19, 1934, No. 36442. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1933. Addition to 422,597. [Class 122 (i)] In pistons as claimed in the parent Specification in which the skirt 4 is connected to the rim 2 of the head in the region opposite the slit 8 and is further connected thereto by resilient struts 16 on either side of the slit, the said struts project from the bosses from the webs 17 or from the rim 2. Struts projecting from the bosses may be attached to the upper or lower ends of the skirt. Inward deflection of the skirt is limited by projections 19, or 20, Fig. 5, on the bosses adapted to engage the struts or skirt respectively. The struts may be tapered from their upper ends towards the skirt.
