Abstract

422,597. Pistons. PASTRONE, G., 13, Via Gioanetti, Turin, Italy. Jan. 12, 1934, No. 1224. Convention date, May 26, 1933. [Class 122 (i)] A split skirt 4 is rigidly connected to the head in the region opposite to the split 8 and is resiliently connected thereto by webs 9, 9<1> which join the skirt on either side of the split. The rigid connection may comprise parallel webs 7, 71, which connect the bosses head and skirt, with or without a circumferential web 11 between them. Further webs 5 are provided on the underside of the head. The skirt may be formed from a harder material than the head and riveted &c. to the extremities of the webs 7, 9. The slit 8 may be of stepped form.
