313,878. Rashleigh, T. P. K.., Udy, G. J., and Herbert, F. W. June 18, 1928, [Convention date]. Vehicle lamps. - A vehicle lamp comprises a substantially rectangular casing A in the lower portion of which is arranged an electric lamp bulb G<1> carried by a paxabolic or like reflector G adapted to project a beam of light forwardly and downwardly through an opening D in the bottom of the front of the lamp and through an opening J in the front of the bottom of the lamp, and laterally and downwardly through openings H in front of the sides of the lamp, the openings D, J, and H all being covered by clear glass. The top of the back of the lamp is fitted with a hinged door E carrying on its front side an electric lamp bulb and reflector F which may project a beam of light forwardly through a clouded or frosted glass C in the top of the front of the lamp. This beam may be used in addition to the main beam, or independently as a parking or dimmed light. By opening the door E rearwardly light may be thrown on to the engine, wheels, or other parts of the vehicle.
