Cellulose carboxylates, process for making filaments from.-The process of the parent Specification is modified bv spinning the threads into coagulating salt solutions containing an inorganic salt having a solvent or swelling action on the cellulose acetate &c. Salts mentioned are thiocyanates and zinc chloride, and other additions such as sugar may be made. In an example a bath for spinning cellulose acetate silk consists of a solution of ammonium nitrate, cane sugar, ammonium thiocyanate, and acetone.
