539,788. Artificial viscose threads. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP ONDERZOEKINGSINSTITUUT RESEARCH. Feb. 20, 1940, No. 3216. Convention date, Feb. 23, 1939. [Class 2 (ii)] Artificial threads formed from viscose are passed from the acid spinning bath, maintained at a temperature of 45‹ C., to a stretching bath maintained at a temperature of 45‹ or 50‹ C. and consisting of a dilute solution, containing 5 per cent by weight of one or more of the following substances, hydrochloric, hydrobromic, oxalic or formic acid or urea or glycerine which promote the swelling, or retard the contraction, of the freshly spun thread. Examples are given.
