993,786. Cellulose fibres. TOHO RAYON KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Sept. 20, 1961 [Oct. 4, 1960; June 9, 1961], No. 33645/61. Heading B5B. An unripened viscose of relatively high viscosity and salt index above 9, containing a percentage of alkali from 0.5 to 0.9 times its percentage of cellulose is heated to at least 40‹ C. and spun into a sulphuric acid coagulating bath containing from 1 to 10 gms/litre of formaldehyde at at least 20‹ C. below viscose temperature. Zinc and sodium sulphates may also be present in the bath.
