Abstract

312,458. Gray, C. April 19, 1928. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Turn - bolt fastenings: k no b s and handles, attaching. - A gate latch is operated by a ring handle fitting into a semicircuLar recess in a boss on the securing plate and held in position by a bracket having a complementary recess. The invention is illustrated as applied to a turn-bolt fastening A. The turn-bolt A is integral with the plate carrying the boss C with the recess G for the handle R. The bracket D with the complimentary recess is screwed to the plate and to a rear washer F. The whole turns in the rose plate E. A squared spindle B may be provided in the usual way for operating the bolt from the other side of the door. A lug H on the handle limits its motion so that it cannot swing inwards and damage the door paint.
