647,879. Hasp locks; hinges. LILLIE, A. E., and HIRD, H. Nov. 10, 1948, No. 28078/49. Divided out of 647,623. [Classes 44 and 65 (H)] A hasp for use with a lock for an attachÚ case or the like comprises an attachment plate 1 and a hasp plate 2 connected thereto by a pin 9 on which is mounted a torsion spring 11 the pin engaging pairs of lugs 6, 7 on the attachment and hasp plates. The lugs 6 on the attachment plate are bridged by an outwardly shaped hood 14 and the lugs 7 on the hasp plate 2 are formed with arcuate slots 10 permitting turning movement of the hasp plate, the outer face of which rocks on the edge 15 of the hood 14. The hood serves to exclude rain &c. from the hinge.
