Abstract

670,888. Mudguards. PARK WARD & CO., Ltd., and WARD, C. W. Oct. 26, 1950 [Nov. 10, 1949], No. 28856/49. Class 136 (i). An automobile wing spat C is connected to the chassis by a link system D, D<SP>1</SP> permitting the spat to be brought flush with the surface of the wing A or to be swung rearwardly and outwardly to afford access to the wheel. A lock is provided in the form of a cam N which is rotatable in a plate M mounted on the inner face C<SP>1</SP> of the spat and operated by a key passing through a hole O in the spat. A series of angularly disposed dovetail bolts P, P<SP>1</SP>, P<SP>2</SP> co-operate with the cam N and are guided in brackets Q secured on the inner face of the spat and provided with openings R to receive spigots S mounted in the inner surface L of the wing. The spigots are formed with recesses to receive the bolts P, P<SP>1</SP>, P<SP>2</SP>.
