Abstract
626,257. Cases for locks. ASH, J., ROGERS, A., and ROGERS, A. L. Aug. 19, 1947, No. 22938. [Class 44] A lock case comprises a mounting plate 4, Fig. 1, carrying the locking mechanism and attached to a face plate 1 for fixing to the door and a cap 9, Fig. 3, held on the mounting plate by lugs 7 passed through perforations 8 in the cap and turned over. The mounting plate 4 has upper and lower flanges 6 carrying the lugs 7 and the cap 9 has flanges of which the portions 11 opposite the apertures 8 are pressed inwardly to provide recesses into which the ends of the lugs 7 are turned. In another form, Fig. 9, the mounting plate 12 has side flanges 13 under which are slid inturned flanges 14 on the cap. The cap is secured by a screw 15 or by a tongue pressed up from the mounting plate engaging the bottom of the cap.
