Abstract
267,973. Schlosser, E. H. March 19, 1926, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Hook fastenings; multiple fastenings.-Motor a bonnet flaps and like articles are secured by a pivoted hook operated by an eccentric projection on a rotatable disc. The hook 16 is pivoted to a plate 3 on the flap 1 at 18 and is operated by a pin 13 in the slot 20. The pin 13 is carried by the handle 14 and passes through a slot 11 in a disc 6 rotatably mounted in the housing 4. The handle also carries a projection 15 which passes through a hole 12 in the disc 6 and on the first rotary movement of the handle releases a spring locking plunger 7 from the teeth 5 on the interior of the housing 4. This allows the disc 6 to rotate and therefore permits further turning of the handle to enable the pin 13 to operate the hook 16. The pin 13 carries a sleeve 21 working in the slot 20. A pair of hooks may be operated by links 24, 25, operated in turn by the eccentric pins 13, 13<1>.
