Abstract
234,983. Edwards, A. May 22, 1924. Addition to 213.089. Latches sliding; seal fastenings.-In a spring- pressed sliding bolt fastener for can lids provided with a supporting lug 15, as described in the parent Specification, the operating handle 11 has depending arms 16, one on either side of the lug 15, to prevent rotation of the bolt 7. The arms have holes 17 which in the fastening position of the bolt align with a hole in the lug 15 to receive a sealing wire. The operating handle 11 may be screwed or riveted directly to the bolt.
