[Class 44] In a toggle-type of fastening for box lids &c. having an attachment plate 18 with lugs 23 on which is pivotally mounted an operating lever 28, the lever having pivoted thereon at 29 a loop 6 adapted to engage over a hooked member 7, and be moved into fastening engagement by depression of lever 28, the fastening is positively secured against accidental release by a pin 32 passed through apertures 31 in the the lever in front of the loop 6 as shown. The particular fastening to which the invention is shown as applied is as described and claimed in Specification 551,451.
