Transformers.-A transformer tank a is provided internally with vertical air passages e communicating with openings c, d in the walls of the tank and forming an inner enclosure h for the transformer. The spaces j left at the corners of the tank form passages for the thermo-syphonic circulation of the cooling oil, and these spaces communicate with each other through passages k formed between the air passages e and the walls of the tank. Auxiliary air passages n may be provided in the spaces j, and auxiliary oil passages o may be provided in the air passages e.
