Abstract
309,380. Auerbach, R., and Steinhorst, W. April 7, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Coating; coating by dipping.-In the coating of metals by the galvanizing or spraying process, the coating metal consists of an alloy of tin or zinc and cadmium, to which may be added aluminium. In an example, an alloy containing zinc 65 per cent, cadmium 30 per cent and aluminium 5 per cent is used. The coated metal may be given a further coating of another metal such as nickel or chromium by the galvanizing process. Cast iron is preferably etched with hydrofluoric acid prior to coating.
