526,267. Coating metals with metals. GOLDSCHMIDT AKT.-GES., T. March 10, 1939, No. 7887. Convention date, April 1, 1938. [Class 82 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] In applying to cast iron, particularly cast iron bushes, coatings of non-ferrous metals by the aid of an intermediate layer of electrolytic iron, this layer is firmly united to the cast iron by annealing after applying the layer. The annealing is effected at 500-800‹C. The treated bushes may be plated with tin or tin solder before applying a bearing-metal lining.
