Armatures.-A magnetic material of low electric conductivity for armature cores and slot wedges for dynamos, &c., is made by impregnating sheets of felt or textile material with filings or powder of magnetic material and natural or synthetic resin and hardening under heat and pressure. The textile material may be piled in layers to form boards, which are afterwards cut to shape, or rolled up or cut to shape before hardening. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 261,816.
