Abstract

260,731. Igranic Electric Co., Ltd., and Curtis, A. K. Sept. 24, 1925. Transformers with cores consisting of a number of wire loops 3, have their cores divided along a transverse plane cutting each loop twice. Each half of the core is embedded in a casing of moulded insulating material having a flange 4a through which the two halves are bolted together after the primary and secondary windings 1, 2 have been placed in position. The wire of the core may be of a nickel-iron alloy in which the proportions are 40 per cent nickel and 60 per cent iron.
