Range-finders; sighting-devices.-A telescope, provided with a gyroscopic apparatus to eliminate the effects of the movements of the ship on which it is mounted is connected to a range finder 3 by means of an electric constant direction control and also to a searchlight, so that the range finder 3 is always directed on to the object sighted or illuminated. The range finder 3 is mounted in bearings 4, 5, and rotated in altitude by the motor 11. Movement in azimuth is effected by the motor 8 as shown.
