Abstract
135,994. Everitt, P. F., and Hughes, H. A. Dec. 30, 1918. Mariners' compasses.-An azimuth fitting for a mariner's compass comprises an adjustable prism G for reflecting the distant object, and a halflens J adjacent to it which, in conjunction with a single or double reflection prism K, produces an image of the card above, below, or superposed on, the image of the distant object. The arrangement may be such that the image of the card is at infinity. As shown, the prism K is a doublereflection prism, and the usual shades H, a shadow pin B, and levels C are provided.
