Abstract

305,197. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. Feb. 2, 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 287,450. Coating.-A process for improving the resistance to corrosion of magnesium and its alloys consists in treating them with a boiling aqueous solution of a bichromate for an hour or more. The treatment may be preceded by preliminary treatment with dilute nitric acid.
