333,835. Buchner, M. Nov. 24, 1928, [Convention date]. Nitric acid is evolved in the reaction between aluminium nitrate and preferably concentrated sulphuric acid at temperatures up to 300‹ C. The reaction may be conducted under reduced pressure, with or without, the introduction of air or steam, in vessels made, of an alloy of iron and chromium, or iron, chromium and nickel, for instance, V2A.
