Abstract

302,419. Whalley, H. G. L. de. Sept. 23, 1927. Lever-actuated pumps; single-acting suctionvalveless pumps. - Apparatus for delivering beverages &c. comprises a container 1 with a removable cover 2 carrying a pump barrel 5, 6 provided with inlet ports 9 which are uncovered by the piston 8 at the bottom of its stroke. During the upstroke, the liquid is delivered through a pipe 22 which passes through the cover 2 and ends in an aerating nozzle as described in Specification 288,349, [Class 69 (iii), Sprayproducers &c.]. The piston is actuated by a bell-crank lever 20 pivoted on the cover and connected to the piston rod by links 17 and a cross-head. The barrel 5 is separated by a partition 7 from the casing 6 enclosing the actuating gear.
