Abstract

438,395. Deep-well pumps. KOVAC, A., 7, Kralja Aleksandra, Novisad, Jugoslavia. Nov. 23, 1934, No. 33759. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 24, 1935.] [Class 102 (i)] A deep-well pump comprises a lower bucket 3, operating in a cylinder 1, and an upper bucket 4 of larger diameter, operating in a cylinder 2, the buckets being mounted on a common rod 5. The pump is operated at such a speed that, due to inertia, the discharge of liquid from the cylinder 1 is greater than the swept volume of the piston 3. Discharge takes place through the piston 4 to the discharge pipe 17. The pump is operated by a connecting-rod from a crank-shaft 7 to a guide plunger 6. The weight of the moving parts is balanced by a spring 9 attached to a lever 8, which is connected to the plunger 6.
