Abstract
289,018. Ferraris, A. April 20, 1927, [Convention date]. Liquid-piston pumps; waste liquid, returning. -In a pump for corrosive liquids of the kind described in Specification 4482/14, an air chamber C is arranged between the piston ani cylinder head in which air is compressed during the upstroke, the compressed air serving to return leakage liquid above the piston through a valve E to the pump chamber. The air in the chamber C is replenished through an air valve D.
