[Class 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXX] A pump unit for attachment to a hydraulically-operated apparatus, e.g., a jack, comprises a cylinder d having a flange d<1> provided with lugs f to carry the lever h for actuating the piston i. The cylinder has inlet and outlet valves m, n and a spigot o that enters a bore p in the jack cylinder and is provided with packing q. The jack cylinder has a hollow boss to which the flange d<1> is secured and the interior c forms the suction reservoir for the pump. A manuallyoperable valve r is provided to allow admission of air to the reservoir when the pump is operating.
