Abstract

556,538. Differential piston pumps. HIGGINS, C. C., and EYRE SMELTING CO., Ltd. Sept. 25, 1942, No. 13497. [Class 102 (i)] In a differential piston pump the hemispherical end 111A of a smaller diameter piston 111 is held by a spring 113 directly against the end of a larger diameter piston 109 which is operated by a cam 137. The inlet passage 101C has a suction valve 117 and is connected by a passage 101E to the spring chamber 101F. The outlet passage 101D has delivery valves 117A, 125 and a lateral air passage 121 for priming purposes. Specification 567,037 is referred to.
