Abstract

314,221. Moffett, J. June 30, 1928. Fire engines.-In a wheeled crop-spraying apparatus of the kind in which liquid is expelled from a reservoir by means of a reciprocating pump driven by a hand-wheel through a crank and connecting rod, the pump 3 is mounted on top of the reservoir 2, and its piston is reciprocated horizontally by means of a hand-wheel 4 and pitman 5. Liquid from the reservoir is delivered to spraying heads 6 by a flexible pipe 7. Intermediate gearing may be arranged between the handwheel and the crank actuating the pitman.
