Abstract

Filler blocks for concrete floors are closed by stopping plates or tiles Sl, Fig. 1, which are of less depth than the blocks, and which are inserted in the transverse joints after the blocks are laid. The plates are made of clay, concrete, or like fire-resisting material, and are provided with hollows a and keying grooves b, e to prevent them from falling out. Fig. 2 shows two modifications; the hollows a are omitted from the plate S3, and the plate 82 is broader at the top than at the bottom, and the keying grooves are horizontal.
