Abstract
280,417. Schõfer, H. March 5, 1927. Tunnels. - Linings for galleries, tunnels, &c. comprise arches built of concrete, brick, &c. blocks or plates a and corrugated metal d covering the spaces between the arches. The blocks a may be of T, wedge, angle, U or rectangular form and may have reinforcements f ; they may be assembled without bonding or with a slight bonding c of iron or reinforced concrete. Collapsable insertions g may be provided in the arches or deformation of the arches may be provided for by the use of deformable bonding. The corrugated metal d may be arched outwardly towards the rock.
