Abstract

Walls comprise one or two rows 4, 5, of reinforced concrete or other slabs placed vertically on end in the space provided between two or three rows 1, 2, 3 of slabs placed horizontally to form the base of the wall, and the two sets of slabs are connected by bolts. Horizontally, disposed sla.bs 6 - - 14, correspondingly placed with respect to the base, slabs, are arranged above the ground level for stiffening the wall. At corners, as shown in Figs. 4 and 5, angle blocks are provided, and these, in conjunction with angle or flat plates and bolts, serve to form a rigid joint. At certain points of intersection of walls, angle blocks may be dispensed with, and the connection be by means of angle plates and bolts. The edges of the vertical slabs may be rabetted and' tongued and grooved. The flooring 15 rests on the slabs 3, as shown in Fig. 2.
