Abstract

477,445. Bricks ; walls. GRICE, W. S. June 9, 1937, No. 16110. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] A rhomboidal building-brick 1 has one or more of the sides forming the rhomboidal shape recessed between the ends as at 13 to accommodate bonding material which constitutes the joint between two bricks laid side by side. In laying, each brick may be bedded on three bricks of a lower course as shown in Fig. 1 or on four bricks. Modified bricks 4, 8, 9, 10 are provided at corners and wall junctions. The recesses 13 are omitted from Fig. 1 for clearness. The bricks may be of concrete, clay, artificial stone or glass.
