693,536. Building blocks. SNELL, R. G. June 28, 1951 [Sept. 27, 1950], No. 15338/51. Class 87(i) A building block for cavity walls comprises two portions 1, 2 spaced apart by integral ties 3 and formed with facings 4, 5 of sand and cement and coke breeze and cement respectively. Each portion 1, 2 may be provided with a tongue 8 on the top and one end face and a corresponding recess 9 on the bottom and the other end face. The ties 3 may be inclined and formed with a peripheral groove 6 or rib.
