Class 87(i) A building block formed with a recess 17 in one face is provided with triangular tongues 9, 12 on its upper face 10 and one end face 13 and with corresponding grooves 7, 14 of less depth than the height of the tongues on its lower face 8 and other end face 15. The face opposite to the recessed face may be roughened. Pockets 27 may b provided in the tongue 9 to receive the ends of wall ties.
