Abstract

296,981. Silva, C. de F. Sept. 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Induction pipes, extra air valves and auxiliary admission devices for; crank chambers.-A device for supplying a mixture of extra air and gases from the crank case to the mixture, comprises a casing C provided with air inlet port. G<1> controlled by a. manually-operated valve G, the casing being connected to the crank case by a tube T and to the induction pipe by a flange F, and the supply of the mixed air and crank case gases being controlled by a. spring- loaded suction-actuated piston P coacting with tapered slots R in the walls, of the casing. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the valve G may be operated from a suitable moving part and describes a modification in whch the flange F is replaced by a. pipe and the valve G is actuated inside the casing C which is provided near the upper end with a perforated partition against which the spring M bears, the space above the partition acting as a mixing-chamber. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
