Pneumatic conveyers. - In a pneumatic conveyer for cotton, &c. foreign matter is separated from the material conveyed by a plate f which directs it through a slot d into the collecting box k. The speed of the foreign matter is reduced before. it reaches the plate by providing a a depression i in the bottom of the conveyer tube. The plate f is adjustable vertically and is arranged in the bottom of a funnel c which connects the delivery tube of a bale breaker to the feed tube of another machine.
