727,530. Hoppers. ALITE MACHINES, Ltd. Dec. 30, 1953 [March 3, 1953], No. 5836/53. Class 78 (1). Powdered and similar materials are delivered from a hopper 1 by a screw conveyer 4 which fits snugly into a tube 3 inserted in the outlet 2 of the hopper and carries a disc 6 between which and the lower edge of the tube 3 is a gap 7. The speed of the screw may be such that the material is thrown from the disc by centrifugal force. The edge of the disc may be turned up.
