741,431. Mixing appliances. ALITE MACHINES, Ltd. Dec. 30, 1953 [March 3, 1953], No. 5835/53. Class 86. A mixing apparatus for particulate materials consists of hoppers 2, 3 for supplying a continuously metered feed of each material, a screw conveyer 4 common to all of the hoppers, a continuously operable double conical mixing chamber 6 rotatable about a horizontal axis and arranged to receive the fed materials from the screw conveyer 4, and a rotatable feed screw 9 projecting axially across the mixing chamber 6 for a porportion of the diameter thereof, for continuously removing mixed material.
