Abstract

848,017. Screw conveyers; hoppers. AUTOPACK Ltd. July 22, 1958 [Aug. 1, 1957], No. 24383/57. Class 78 (1). Powder is fed from a hopper 1, shaped as shown, by a feed screw 4, the part of which within the outlet 3 is of uniform diameter and the part disposed within the conical part 2 is of conical form having a lesser degree of taper. A stirrer 5 disposed between the part 2 and the screw rotates in opposite direction to the screw. A stirrer 9 rotates in the same direction as the screw.
