Siphon-discharge water-waste preventers; seat action.-The siphon is started by a plunger 5 being forced down in a cup 20<a> mounted in a casing 20, a float 21 freely mounted on the plunger spindle 6 being adapted to close the top of the cup when the cistern is empty. The operating lever may be connected to the closet seat, the lower portions of the siphon legs form part of the casing 20, and an opening leads from the cup to one leg.
