Valve-discharge water-waste preventers; com. bined with closet basins; seat action.-A flushing water chamber 2, surrounding a closet basin, has an outlet 6 closed by a ring member 3 against the action of springs 4, when the seat 8 is depressed, an inlet valve being simultaneously opened through the rod 10 from the ring 3. The inlet valve may also be opened through a lever 11 and chain 13, by raising the seat into a vertical position; the seat is caused to fall, when released, by a spring-pressed plunger 14. In a modification, the chain 13 is connected to a lever, one end of which carries the plunger 14. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a form in which the chain 13 is connected to a hand lever. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
