[Class 26] A bidet disposed upon a closet-basin has a forward portion 16 extending beyond the basin. In Fig. 1, the bidet rests directly upon the basin with the interposition of a rubber or like covering and is hinged on a cross-member 22 on which is also hinged a cover 23 having a catch 24 for securing to the bidet. The bidet may be supplied by pipes 27, 28 and have an emptying-plug; a closet seat 30 pivotally suspended from the side of the basin may also be provided. In Fig. 3, the bidet when lowered rests upon a closet-seat 61.
