Abstract
283,166. Skoda Works, Plzen. June 4, 1926, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Projectile fuzes, clockwork.-A free centrifugal lever 6, Fig. 1, is interposed between the trigger swindle 1 and the drum 8 of the clockwork mechanism, which is thus relieved of the resistances of the trigger mechanism and is only subjected to the pressure of the lever due to centrifugal force thereon. The centre of gravity f of the lever is so disposed that the centrifugal force has but a small leverage m<1>, Fig. 2, when the lever bears on the drum; but when the lever escapes from the drum at the appointed time. the leverage increases to m2, Fig. 3, while the lever comes against a stop 7 on a disc 5 secured to the trigger spindle 1. The centrifugal force can then overcome the resistance of the trigger mechanism and cause the release of the striker (not shown).
