Valves, reversing.-In reversing valves for regenerative coke ovens of the type comprising a casing f provided with two valve seats g, h and a valve member j adapted to be moved from one seat and seated against the other, a counterpoise o is disposed on a lever n operating the valve and in sliding contact with a reversing rod r. The lever n is pivoted to the casing at p and has the valve stem k linked to it at m. A pull on the reversing rod r which passes through the forked end g of the lever n moves the valve member j from one seat to the other, the counterweight o operating to. hold the valve on either seat.
