275,052. Marks, E. C. R., (Williams Oil- O-Matic Heating Corporation). Nov. 2, 1926. Spray burners.-In a spray burner oil supplied through a pipe 22 to the rear end of a housing 10 passes by gravity through a valve 18 and a tube 29 into a cup 28<a> and then with air supplied by a pipe 21 through a pipe 23 to a nozzle 24 which contains a spring-pressed spiral block 27. Air supplied by the pipe 21 also passes around the pipe 23 and issues around the nozzle 24 through the curved tubular ducts 46 which are supported so as to project into the tapered outlet 12 of the casing by a plate member 37. The tube 23 is supported so as to be axially adjustable at its front end by the plate member 37 and at its rear end by a threaded rod 41 which is attached to the cup 28<a> either rigidly or by means of a forked bracket member 39. A spring 44 and a setscrew 43 maintain the rod 41 in its adjusted position in a casting 14 forming the rear of the housing. The casting 14 is preferably formed with a concave face 16.
